Outfit of the Day – Stripes and Layered Vintage Finds
Piggybacking off of what I said in my previous post and how I’m slowly starting to step out of my comfort zone fashion-wise, today I decided to wear a leather hat! Adventurous I know.
This saturday was a well deserved break, and I had the chance to wander around downtown Ottawa and wear some lighter pieces now that spring is creeping in on us! I wanted to wear an outfit that would be comfortable enough to walk around in, but that still looked decent and somewhat put together. So the first items on my outfit list were my converse and black jeans. These are go-tos when I want to be comfortable and look/feel good. Next, I put on a classic boatneck striped tee and layered it with an amazing vintage coat (that I got for $15!!) and a maxi scarf. And the pièce de résistance was this super cool leather paperboy hat that I found at Darling Vintage (a local vintage shop).
In my opinion, this outfit has the perfect blend of classic pieces and cool vintage finds; I love the mix of stripes and textures, along with casual androgynous items and feminine ones. I’m a big fan of outfits that are liveable and relatable in a sense, so hopefully you’re as much of a fan of it as I am, and would love to hear if you are in the comments section!
If you’re a fan of the outfit, or would like to see where I got certain pieces feel free to keep on scrollin’ and let me know what your favourite piece was in the comments below!
