Outfit of the Day – Comfortably Uncomfortable in Checked Pants
Holla! Coming at you with yet another outfit post.
Today’s outfit features some new checked pants and patent leather oxfords. Wearing such a bold pattern is still not something I’m 100% comfortable with, but the pants themselves are so comfortable that I don’t even care. I have been trying to branch out style-wise, and you can see so in one of my previous posts. Incorporating bold elements is easy when the rest of my wardrobe is filled with basics, so styling these checked pants (Topshop) and patent leather shoes (Karl Lagerfeld) in other ways shouldn’t be too difficult!
This outfit, although quite extroverted for me, is soooo comfortable. The pants are so soft and the shoes have had minimal break-in time. So the comfort level of the outfit totally makes me feel that much better about wearing such a bold pattern. However, I’ll be honest with you and tell you that it was bloody cold outside, and having exposed ankles and no jacket is not very fun in windy weather. But ah well, c’est la vie. If it weren’t obvious enough, I’m really looking forward to summer, and I’ve been stocking up some more summer/spring clothing and wearing them in the hopes that the temperature will rise with my pant length.
